JOHANNESBURG - A police officer has been killed and five other people injured following two separate crashes on the N7 towards Durban, between the Belville bridge and the N2 interchange.
Paramedics on the scene said one truck initially overturned, leaving two people injured.
However, moments later a second truck lost control crashing into the overturned truck and other vehicles.
Motorists were urged to avoid the route in both directions.
