All SASSA grant beneficiaries, including those with expired gold cards, will be paid - Postbank
The bank said that social grant beneficiaries should not worry as their cards remained valid for payments throughout this year.
CAPE TOWN - Postbank has assured that it would pay all SASSA grant beneficiaries, even those with expired gold cards.
Postbank said that despite last year's announcement that expired SASSA gold cards would continue working beyond 2023, there's still confusion on the ground.
The bank said that social grant beneficiaries should not worry as their cards remained valid for payments throughout this year.
Postbank spokesperson, Bongani Diako: "We don't know who is peddling the information but part of the feedback we're receiving on the ground is that in certain instances, officials in the value chain do provide beneficiaries with this incorrect information."
Diako said that any changes would be communicated timeously.
"Postbank is the only bank that has the authority to replace the SASSA gold cards and we have always been in a programme where we will be rolling out the replacements of the cards this year, which we will announce via these platforms."
