Wimbledon: Montjane advances to doubles final, Ramphadi in semifinals

South Africa's Kgothatso Montjane and her doubles partner Japan's Yui Kamiji will face Dutch duo Diede de Groot and Jiske Griffioen for the Wimbledon title.

JOHANNESBURG - Wheelchair tennis ace Kgothatso Montjane and her doubles partner Japan's Yui Kamiji have advanced to the Wimbledon doubles final.

Montjane and Kamiji took down Momoko Ohtani and Zhenzhen Zhu, winning 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to reach the final.

The pair will face Dutch duo, Diede de Groot and Jiske Griffioen, the second seeds for the title.

On Wednesday, Montjane went down to Diede de Groot in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in their singles match.

South Africa's wheelchair tennis quad player, Donald Ramphadi, is in the singles semifinals after taking down former world No.1 David Wagner 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.

Ramphadi will face top seed Neils Vink on Friday.

The wheelchair tennis player and his British partner, Andy Lapthorne, were unfortunately knocked out in the doubles semifinals 6-0, 6-3 by Dutch top seeds Niels Vink and Sam Schroder on Friday morning.
