Members from KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) began singing struggle songs and disrupting his speech.
The province further showed discontent when Mbalula addressed the misconduct he said was shown by some delegates who he accused of blatantly trying to collapse the conference.
He said the youth leaguers will have to unite, to avoid the league facing yet another disbandment.
“This conference of the youth league will never convene if we were to go according to the standards of people who want to collapse the ANC at any given time.
Mbalula adds that youth leaguers should stop fighting each other - insisting that internal squabbles will be the downfall of the league.
Mbalula says this conference will mark an end to the disbandment of the youth league. He has tasked the leadership of the league - which will be elected this afternoon - to ensure the league goes back to its former glory.
