Wits players Goss, Doutie handed eight-match ban

CAPE TOWN - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) disciplinary committee on Tuesday night found Bidvest Wits players Ricardo Goss and Sameehg Doutie guilty of abusing a match official Masixole Bambiso.

The incident occurred during the Absa Premiership fixture between Wits and Cape Town City on 18 January 2020 at Cape Town Stadium.

Wits were sanctioned with a fine of R 150,000 for bringing the league into disrepute.

Both players are each banned for eight matches of which four of them are conditionally suspended.

Wits are currently sitting on the sixth position on the log standings with 34 points after 19 matches.
