Boxing legend Peter ‘Terror’ Mathebula dies

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa's first black world champion boxer, Peter "Terror" Mathebula has died.

Mathebula won the WBA flyweight crown in 1980 in the United States.

His family says he died on Saturday at Leratong hospital following an illness.

He was 68 years.
