JOHANNESBURG - South African cellphone network MTN has announced that its group chairperson, Phuthuma Nhleko, has stepped down from the board.
Nhleko had been in the position since 2013.
He was behind the overseeing of an orderly transition of the board, including the establishment of the international advisory board.
The company said that former Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas had assumed the position of chairperson of the MTN Group.
