CAPE TOWN - Police have made their presence felt during crime operations in the Khayelitsha cluster and other areas this week.

More than a hundred suspects have been arrested in communities like Harare, Macassar and Gordon's Bay.

Police have nabbed seven suspects in Khayelitsha and Harare for being in possession of unlicensed firearms.

In one of the incidents in Y-Block Khayelitsha, four suspects tried to flee from police but crashed into a house, causing their car to roll.

In Macassar, officers arrested a 13-year-old child after he allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old to death following an argument.

Nearly 30 arrests were carried out for drug possession and nine dangerous weapons were confiscated.

SAPS management has warned that crime operations will continue.
