[LISTEN] SA-born journo on winning Pulitzer Prize

Peter Hirschberg, the Asia Investigative Editor at Reuters, spoke to ‘The John Maytham Show’ on Cape Talk about his investigations and winning the prestigious award.

CAPE TOWN - South African-born journalist Peter Hirschberg this week received the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for his work in international reporting on coverage of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.

Hirschberg, who is the Asia Investigative Editor at Reuters, along with his colleagues, exposed the drug policy of the Philippine government and the actions of police who have been accused of being involved in extrajudicial killings of innocent civilians.

Hirschberg spoke to The John Maytham Show on Cape Talk about his investigations and the Pulitzer Prize he received at an award ceremony held on Wednesday at Columbia University in New York City.
