SAHRC to continue Child Protection Week tour at Gauteng schools
The commission, along with the Justice Department, began the visits on Monday and activities will end on Sunday.
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Human Rights Commission in Gauteng will continue its provincial tour of primary schools as part of its Child Protection Week campaign.
The commission, along with the Justice Department, began the visits on Monday and activities will end on Sunday.
It says talks with pupils are focused on child abuse, human trafficking and bullying.
The commission's Phillip Molekoa: "For example, you'll find that a learner was not aware of the kind of abuse they're experiencing at home, from a step-dad or uncle, touching inappropriately... but we'r talking about these issues openly (sic)."
