[LISTEN] Why UDM wants PIC CEO Dan Matjila suspended

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa spoke to 'The Karima Brown Show' about his letter to the Finance Minister requesting the immediate suspension of PIC CEO Dan Matjila.

JOHANNESBURG - Following Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene’s request to the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) board for information relating to allegations of conflict of interest against its CEO Dan Matjila, the United Democratic Movement (UDM) now wants Matjila suspended pending the outcome of an investigation into the allegations against him.

Matjila has been accused of allegedly channelling funds meant for corporate social investment to a girlfriend. The matter was investigated by the PIC board last year and he was cleared of wrongdoing.

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa spoke to The Karima Brown Show on Monday about his letter to Nene requesting him to suspend Matjila and for the allegations to be re-investigated.
