KZN Organised Crime Unit roped in to investigate killing of ANC member

JOHANNESBURG – The KwaZulu-Natal Organised Crime Unit has been roped in to investigate the killing of an African National Congress (ANC) member in the Harry Gwala region.

Nkosikhona Maxhakana was shot dead at his home at the weekend.

This is the latest killing of ANC members in that province.

Police's Thembeka Mbele says the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.

“The case is being investigated by the Organised Crime Unit in the provincial office. There’s no arrests at this stage.”
