NEW YORK - Fashion inspired by the movie Black Panther is taking centre stage at New York Fashion Week.
Cast members from the film came out to support designers who’ve created pieces for and influenced by the much-anticipated film, which opens this weekend.
Walé Oyéjidé, from Nigeria, is behind the fashion label Ikiré Jones, which designed an ensemble worn by Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther.
Douriean Fletcher was the speciality jewellery costumer for the movie and has created a collection for fans.
"This is a historical moment so I wanted to make sure people could take a part of that with them."
Bespoke pieces from the collection are being auctioned off for the save the children charity.
