CAPE TOWN - Predict Dating App has added instant dating that works similar to Uber.

The South African app's new feature allows users to indicate when they are free for a date within the next three hours.

Founder Ayal Belling says the new feature is meant to help people fit dating into their already busy lives.

“With Uber, we can just go to the app and then we just have a sense that anytime we get onto the app we can have a taxi within minutes, I want to help people to have a sense that they can go to the app and have a date within an hour or two if that’s what they want.”

Belling says Predict Dating App discourages verdicts on photos and dumps the photo card to make words count.

“One of the very first things that I did was I got rid of what you could call the photocard so that the bio of the user always shows. So whenever you see someone on Predict, you’ll always see what they’ve written if they’ve written something, you couldn’t avoid it.”
