[LISTEN] Will the ANC recall President Zuma?

This week, newly elected ANC NEC member Ronald Lamola said the party’s leadership cannot shy away from discussing President Jacob Zuma’s recall.

JOHANNESBURG - Professor, political and policy analyst Tinyiko Maluleke says there’s mounting pressure on President Jacob Zuma to step down or face impeachment.

He says the ANC needs to be more considerate on how they deal with Zuma’s recall given what happened in 2008 when former president Thabo Mbeki was recalled.

Maluleke says this could split the party if it’s done without following thorough and due processes.
