JMPD recover stolen City Power copper cables worth R500k

Two suspects have been arrested after police recovered the stolen copper cables.

CAPE TOWN - Police have confirmed that stolen copper cables from City Power's Randburg station worth R500,000 have been recovered.

Two suspects have been arrested.

JMPD says it was able to trace the copper cables worth half a million rand to a warehouse in Silverton, Tshwane.

Spokesperson Luyanda Longwe says: “The two suspects have been charged with possession of stolen goods. They are believed to have been working with other members. The police and JMPD are still on the lookout for other suspects.”
