CAPE TOWN - Two Manenberg siblings who were missing for almost three days have been found unharmed.

Six-year-old Amber and 13-year-old Cassidy Williams disappeared from their foster home on Sunday.

Earlier on Wednesday, they were tracked down in Lavender Hill. They were with members of their biological family.

Police's Andre Traut confirmed that they have been found.

“We can confirm that the Williams sisters from Manenberg have been found unharmed and we’re currently looking for the motive for their disappearance.”

Meanwhile, Western Cape Safety Forum's Roegshanda Pascoe says community and police launched a search party for the siblings.

“We must be vigilant in protecting our children. And at times, yes, when it comes to foster children, they have already been through a traumatised ordeal. And so if you’re not equipped to deal with that child, you’re adding to their trauma and you’re making them run away.”
