ANC members urged to respect outcome of vote
ANC Member of Parliament Mondli Gungubele says while he supports Cyril Ramaphosa, he will respect any outcome.
JOHANNESBURG - As the last four provinces continue to vote for the ANC’s leadership, there are calls for ANC members to respect and accept the outcome of the polls.
ANC Member of Parliament Mondli Gungubele says that while he supports Cyril Ramaphosa, he will respect any outcome.
He is calling on other ANC members to do the same.
“When an organisation has got cracks, sometimes there can be debates about common sense issues. It tells you the organisation is not united.”
Gungubele also responded to heckling that took place at the plenary on Sunday, as delegates disagreed on whether to allow lists into voting booths.
“When the ANC produces results here, I expect those results to be about ANC people who are committed to this organisation. We must always look towards a great future. It depends on those who will be elected.”
ANC leaders continue to endorse their preferred candidates, with Zizi Kodwa being the latest to announce he voted for Ramaphosa.
