CAPE TOWN - Police are assisting with the search for a 36-year-old woman last seen leaving a Cape Town pub with two men during the early hours of Friday morning.

Penelope Robertson's mother, who lives in Greyton, reported her missing after her daughter did not call her or show up for work.

The online fashion magazine editor was supposed to join her family for Christmas festivities in Greyton, but has instead disappeared.

Catherine Glennie fears her 36-year-old daughter has been abducted.

In a heartfelt plea, she begs for the safe return of her child.

“Please, please, please just release her and let her go.”

CCTV footage viewed by Eyewitness News apparently shows Robertson leaving the Shack pub in Zonnebloem Road with two men.

“CCTV shows her leaving at 4:30, getting into her car and driving off and what looks like a blue Golf following behind her after that.”

Glennie explains that after viewing security footage, further suspicion was raised when transactions were recorded on her daughter's bank card.

Investigators have called on anyone with information to contact Cape Town police.
