Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown has called a special general meeting at Eskom's Megawatt Park on Friday to officially introduce the new board.
Brown has called a special general meeting at Eskom's Megawatt Park on Friday to officially introduce the new board, announced exactly a week ago.
The minister has also called on the board to urgently appoint a permanent CEO.
Brown has spoken about ethics, integrity and ensuring Eskom gets back on track, saying a weak power utility is bad for the economy.
Brown also asked the new board to finalise investigations and suspensions as soon as possible, but confirmed that she hasn't yet been briefed about the outcome of suspended executive Matshela Koko's disciplinary hearing.
Chairperson Zethembe Khoza says they have received the report but they still need to deliberate before an announcement is made.
It's been reported that Koko has been found not guilty on a number of charges.
