[LISTEN] Pauw: Instead of investigating state capture, they’re investigating me
Journalist Jacques Pauw was summoned by police, but no reason had been given for the meeting.
CAPE TOWN – Jacques Pauw, journalist and author of The President’s Keepers, says it appears there are a number of police investigations against him.
The President’s Keepers alleges that millions of rands in taxpayers' money flowed into the bank accounts of spies and members of Zuma’s government. It also accuses Zuma of tax evasion.
Pauw addresses a police summons and claims that former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is behind the book.
“The State Security Agency says they’ve instituted charges against me, which is being investigated by the organised crime unit of the Hawks. Instead of investigating state capture, they’re investigating me.”
