JOHANNESBURG - Author and journalist Jacques Pauw says he suspects the applicant in the charges against him is an affiliate of President Jacob Zuma.

Pauw, who wrote the controversial book accusing president Zuma of tax evasion titled, The President's Keepers has been summoned by a KwaZulu-Natal police officer for unknown reasons.

Journalist and author of the book The Republic of The Gupta's Pieter Louis Muburgh has also been summoned.

Pauw says he has not been informed of charges against him but he is willing to cooperate with authorities.

“It’s bizarre for the police to investigate me while the Hawks’ organised crime intelligence unit is investigating me while the Guptas and Duduzane are walking free.”
