DURBAN - Police in KwaZulu-Natal have confirmed the arrests of two more suspects in connection with murders at the notorious Glebelands Hostel.

The arrests, confirmed late on Thursday, brings to six the number of people arrested since investigations began into suspected political killings at the hostel.

Four men, including a police officer, were arrested earlier in the day after a series of raids by law enforcement.

Glebelands has made headlines since it emerged that at least 95 people have been murdered in violence linked to the hostel since 2014.

The police's Jay Naicker says one of the two suspects arrested late on Thursday was brought from the Eastern Cape.

"While police are still questioning the suspects, they will be charged accordingly and will appear in court soon."
