Shakhtar coach keeps promise, dons Zorro mask at presser
UShakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca wore a Zorro mask during a post-match conference after his side beat Manchester City to progress to the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League.
JOHANNESBURG- Ukraine league champions Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca, wore a Zorro mask during a post-match conference after his side beat Manchester City 2-1 to progress to the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night.
Fonseca wore the mask to fulfil a promise he made to his players, that if they progressed to the round of 16, he would wear the mask at the press conference.
Goals from Brazilians Bernard and Ismaily in the first half were enough to hold off run away English Premier League log leaders Manchester City. Sergio Aguero scored a consolation penalty in added time to pull one back for the visitors.
Donetsk could face one of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Barcelona, Liverpool, Besiktas or Tottenham following Monday’s last-16 draw.
