TP Mazembe downs SuperSport in first leg of Confederations Cup final

The second leg will be played at the Atteridgeville Stadium in Pretoria on 25 November.

JOHANNESBURG - SuperSport United have lost the first leg of their CAF Confederations Cup final against TP Mazembe 2-1 in Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The South African conceded the opener to the hosts in the 18th minute from Adama Traore but got back on level terms when Sipho Mbule smashed in a stunning long-range equaliser in the 47th minute.

SuperSport though conceded the second goal in 67th minute when Daniel Adjel netted from just outside the penalty area.

The second leg will be played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on 25 November.
