CAPE TOWN - A 60-year-old woman has died in a fire that destroyed her Manenberg home.
Firefighters responded to the blaze just after 8 o’clock on Thursday morning.
A house and a flat were destroyed along with everything inside.
Six people have been left homeless.
The City’s Fire and Rescue Services' Theo Layne said: “The fire was extinguished around 10 am on Thursday. Two fire engines, a water tanker and a rescue vehicle were dispatched with 14 firefighters. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage.”
