JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service says Gauteng temperatures are expected to start dropping drastically from Wednesday.

Forecasters have also predicted a 100% chance of showers and thundershowers in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.

Forecaster Vanetia Phakula said: “Cut-off flows are systems that normally bring rainfall over the central interior of the country. In fact, we need one or two cut-off lows in order for our dams to be full or else we might suffer drought conditions. They depend on their strength.”
