Missing Rustenburg girl (14) found unharmed

JOHANNESBURG - A 14-year-old Rustenburg girl who went missing last Friday has been found unharmed in Boitekong in the North West.

Police say a tip-off from the community led officers to the area on Thursday, where the girl was found in the company of a 20-year-old man.

The teenager has been reunited with her family while the man faces a charge of statutory rape.

Police spokesperson Elsabe Augoustides said: “She was taken for medical examination in the presence of her parents. The man will appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates Court on Monday.”
