Police confiscate abalone worth R1m in Mfuleni area

CAPE TOWN - Police have confiscated R1 million worth of abalone while on patrol in the Mfuleni area.

Three men were taken into custody during last night's bust.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Eerste River Road and upon searching it found more than 5,000 bags of perlemoen.

The bakkie the suspects were travelling in was reported as hijacked in Kleinvlei earlier in November.
