Nehawu shocked by killing of CPUT head of residences

CAPE TOWN - The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) has expressed shock following the murder of Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)’s head of residences, Siyabulela Thwalani.

Thwalani was shot and killed outside a friend’s home in Ilitha Park in Khayelitsha over the weekend.

The motive is still unknown, and no arrests have been made.

Nehawu’s Khaya Xaba said: “We are shocked by how Thwalani was brutally killed and hope that the police will bring the perpetrators to book.”
