NEW YORK - The Television Academy has voted to expel disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein for life.

It's the latest entertainment body to boot out Weinstein after at least 70 women came forward accusing him of sexual misconduct.

In a statement, the academy says that it supports those who have spoken out about harassment in all forms and it stands by those who have been affected by the issue.

The academy has been in contact with leaders across the entertainment industry to provide “clear workplace benchmarks” reflecting decency and respect.

Meanwhile, a new report details that Weinstein employed private investigators and attorneys to suppress allegations that he acted indecently with woman.
