Court to rule on Mduduzi Manana sentencing

He's pleaded guilty to three counts of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm.

JOHANNESBURG - Former deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Manana will be sentenced on Tuesday.

He has pleaded guilty to three counts of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm.

In August, he was caught on camera assaulting two women outside a Johannesburg night club.

He apologised but was eventually dismissed amid a public outcry.

Two other people have also been arrested for the assault.
