CAPE TOWN - A suspected serial killer and rapist has been arrested in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.

The man allegedly used social media to track down and lure his victims.

The suspect was apprehended over the weekend.

His girlfriend has also been taken into custody for the possession of stolen property.

The police’s Khaya Tonjeni says: “It is alleged that the suspect invited women on Facebook, posting a fake profile and arranged to meet the victims and offering them transport money and once the victim arrived, he will lure the victim to the field and sometimes raped and killed the women.”
