N1 highway in Touws River closed amid service delivery protest

CAPE TOWN - The N1 highway in Touws River area has been closed to traffic due to a protest.
Angry locals are demonstrating over poor services.
They've also barricaded the road with rocks.
Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa says officials are on scene.
“People blocked the road and threw stones. The road has therefore been closed. We are urging motorists to bear with us. We will try and reopen the road as soon as possible.”
