No contamination found in Honeydew & Cosmo City water

JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Water says tests have come back showing no sewer contamination in water samples taken from the Honeydew and Cosmo City reservoirs.

However, its advising residents in certain streets not to consume tap water, for now.

Those streets are Boundary and Aureole and Boundary and Spionskop in the North Riding area.

Tankers will be made available.

All other residents in North Riding are free to use the water, which has been flushed with chlorine.

The city is now waiting for outstanding results were pipe damage occurred and is expecting results later on Wednesday evening.
