JOHANNESBURG - Thembelihle residents in the south of Johannesburg are demanding answers on what they say is government's reluctance to develop the informal settlement into a proper residential area.

Community members will on Monday morning march to the municipal offices to hand over a memorandum of grievances.

The Thembelihle Crisis Committee's Nhlakanipho Lukhele says: "The march is about the electricity that’s not complete. Secondly, we are calling on them to release the findings from the dolomitic study with immediate effect.

"And thirdly, we’ve got a councillor who’s busy interfering with community projects ,who’s hiring and firing community members."
