Uber reaches out to customer following alleged mistreatment by driver
After being stabbed, an Uber customer was allegedly kicked out of the vehicle by the operator for allegedly staining the seats.
The incident came to light after musician Jack Parow posted a picture of his friend's wounded face on social media at the weekend.
According to Parow, an unknown suspect approached his friend, stabbed him and then walked away.
This was allegedly followed by the Uber operator kicking the man out of his car for staining his seats.
Uber says that it is investigating the allegations laid against the driver.
“It is just unthinkable that someone uses such violence to limit consumer choice. It is unacceptable and the police and government need to take a stronger stand against these illegal actions.
“We’re deeply committed to the safety of all who use the Uber App. We’re doing all we can to assist in preventing incidents of this nature.”
