Body of toddler swept away in KZN storm discovered

JOHANNESBURG - The body of an Umlazi toddler who was swept away by floods has been found.
A community member in Umlazi's E-section discovered Okuhle Kweyama's body which was partly concealed with mud in a river on Thursday morning.

Police spokesperson Thembeka Mbele said: “It was positively identified by relatives as the one that was missing last week on Tuesday during the heavy storms that took place here in KwaZulu Natal.”
The severe storms in KwaZulu-Natal claimed at least 11 lives, while in Gauteng one person was killed and two others injured in what was believed to have been a tornado in the Krugersdorp area.
