JOHANNESBURG - The body of a young man has been recovered from a silo in Carletonville on the West Rand.

It is unclear if the man fell in or was thrown into the Holfontein silo.

Gladiator Distress Alert's Girret Bradnick says forensic teams are on scene to determine the cause of death.

“That’s all under investigation of what he was doing in the silo and the cause of death can either be suffocation or crushing, but we’re not 100% sure yet.”
