MKMVA's Maphatsoe: ANC NEC knows who will lead party
Mineral Resources Minister and NEC member Mosebenzi Zwane last week also said that the party’s national leaders already know who will win at the ANC's elective conference in December.
JOHANNESBURG – Leader of the Umkhonto We Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) Kebby Maphatsoe is the latest national executive committee (NEC) member to pre-empt the outcome of the party’s elective conference, saying that the African National Congress (ANC) NEC already know who the president will be after December.
Mineral Resources Minister and NEC member Mosebenzi Zwane last week also said that the party’s national leaders already know who will win at the elective conference.
NEC member Lindiwe Sisulu condemned the comments by Zwane, accusing him of undermining the democratic processes of the ANC.
Maphatsoe doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with what Zwane said, in fact, he says it's simply the truth.
“Because Nkosazana [Dlamini-Zuma] will be president, deputised by Comrade David Mabuza.”
