Cops continue to follow leads in KZN mass murders

The motives behind the two incidents are being investigated and no arrests have yet been made.

JOHANNESBURG - Police say they are following up on information received that could lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the KwaZulu-Natal mass killings.

Five members of the same family were killed when gunmen entered their home in Nteke last week.

In another incident, eight people from the same family were also shot and killed in Umvoti in the province when unknown gunmen entered their homes last week.

The motives behind the two incidents are being investigated and no arrests have yet been made.

The police's Nqobile Gwala says: “Investigations continue regarding the two mass murders. No arrests have been made at this stage.”
