JOHANNESBURG - A pilot has been killed after his light aircraft crashed on a plot near Boschkop Road in Pretoria.

It’s understood the pilot was alone in the plane heading to a nearby airfield when the accident occurred on Friday night.

Paramedics say rescue equipment was utilised to access the victim as he was trapped in the wreckage.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.

Netcare 911’s Nick Dollman explains: “Paramedics attended to one male patient. He had sustained severe injuries and died on scene.”
