Gauteng motorists advised to be cautious after heavy rain warning

JOHANNESBURG – As the South African Weather Service warns of heavy rains in Gauteng on Friday and for the rest of the weekend, emergency service officials are appealing for caution.
A severe storm alert was issued for the southern part of the province on Thursday.
Johannesburg Emergency Services’ Robert Mulaudzi has urged residents to brace for possible flooding.
“We also just want to urge our motorists to refrain from taking chance in crossing flooded bridges so that we can avoid incidences of drowning.”
