JOHANNESBURG - Lebo Mothiba says he's excited by the opportunity to showcase his talents for Bafana Bafana.

Mothiba's form in front of goal for his French club Valenciennes has caught the attention of Stuart Baxter ahead of Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso.

Mothiba says he's keen to prove his worth: "It's always a good thing to get a call-up to represent your country. I need to keep on working hard and give everything I have. It's been a special couple of days. I scored a hat-trick and the following day I had to take a flight and come to South Africa. It was great."

He says it's a dream come true to represent his country: "Getting a call-up is great. I'm still young and learning from the players around me. I used to look up to them, it's a good achievement for me."
