JOHANNESBURG - Thabang Moroe has told EWN Sport he has a list of priorities he needs to address urgently as the new interim CSA CEO.

Moroe was called in to replace Haroon Lorgat after he parted ways with the cricketing body on Thursday.

Moroe says his primary goal is to settle the nerves of major stakeholders: “There will be a few nervous people, but I have been talking to senior and middle management, everybody, in fact, to tell them there aren’t hectic changes coming into the organisation, it’s business as normal.”

Moroe says another pressing issue on his desk is to secure the broadcasting rights for the Global League T20.

“I need to help the organisation deliver this league, that is priority number one. I need to bring Supersport on board.”

Moroe says it’s a nice feather in his cap to have the board believe in him like this.

“It’s been very encouraging to know how my board feels about me. It’s been humbling. All I have to do is put my head down and deliver like I have in the past.”

Moroe says the immediate plan is to restore bonds with key stakeholders.

“We have worked hard with the EXCO team to mend and rekindle all relationships with our key stakeholders, especially those that had broken down. These relationships are very important for us to develop and execute this league we have been talking about for so long.”

The GLT20 gets underway on 3 November.
