'KZN ANC has gone rogue'

The KwaZulu-Natal leadership has confirmed on Thursday afternoon that it will seek leave to appeal.

DURBAN - The so-called African National Congress (ANC) rebels who took the KwaZulu-Natal executive to court say that the decision to appeal the High Court's judgment is nothing but a delay tactic ahead of the elective conference.

The KwaZulu-Natal leadership has confirmed on Thursday afternoon that it will seek leave to appeal.

This is despite earlier saying that it would wait for the outcomes of an ANC national executive committee meeting on Friday, which would determine the next move.

The applicant's Sthembiso Mshengu says that it is concerning that the KZN ANC has gone rogue and is undermining the NEC.

“In fact, we do suspect that there is even a plan to disrupt the national conference itself. I’m not an alarmist but the behaviour and conduct point to that direction.”
