Eskom board chair Khoza says CFO Anoj Singh suspended
But Eskom says it can neither confirm nor deny the suspension as its still looking into these matters.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom's acting chairperson Zethembe Khoza has told Eyewitness News that CFO Anoj Singh has now been suspended, along with two other executives, following investigations into their conduct in the Trillian payments.
Singh was initially placed on special leave at the end of July pending an investigation.
Prish Govender and Charles Kalima have also been suspended.
Eskom says that it can neither confirm nor deny the suspensions as its still looking into these matters.
Acting chair Khoza says that the board approved the decision to reverse Singh's special leave and place him on suspension, along with two others.
"Yes, Anjoj Singh is on suspension already. The board had met last week and approved that he be put on suspension. Govender and Kalima are also on suspension."
Govender and Kalima had already been suspended but after making representations they returned to work.
Now Khoza says that they've been re-suspended.
It's still unclear from Eskom if these suspensions have been put into effect or if the parastal is still processing the sanctions.
