JOHANNESBURG - Home Affairs Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize says Wednesday's dialogue on the management of international migration will encourage the employment of secure migration policies.

Thought leaders have gathered at the Wits Club in Johannesburg to discuss whether the department's migration policies are safe and in line with the African Development Agenda Vision 2063.

Mkhize says the dialogue is vital.

“In a democracy that’s a critical, critical aspect of good policies. That you bounce them back to thought leaders and integrate the views you get from them. It enriches the whole value chain.”
