Numerous shacks on fire in Khayelitsha

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town's Fire and Rescue Services is attending to a shack fire along the N2 in Khayelitsha.

It's unclear how the fire broke out in the township's BM Section.

Numerous informal structures are on fire as firefighters work to douse the flames.

The City's Theo Layne said: “Currently the fire is being fanned by strong winds and we have six vehicles on the scene. No injuries have been reported just yet.”
