JOHANNESBURG - Former KPMG CEO Moses Kgosana says he regrets attending the controversial Gupta wedding at Sun City in 2013.

Kgosana stepped down as Imperial’s audit committee chairman on Thursday in light of the investigation into KPMG, where he was also a senior partner.

The auditing firm has been accused of syphoning taxpayer’s money away from a Free State agriculture project to instead fund the lavish Gupta family wedding.

Speaking on the Money Show, Kgosana admitted he has regrets.

“Had I known what I know today I wouldn’t have attended the wedding.”

When asked what would’ve prevented him from attending the wedding, Kgosana responded: “It’s public knowledge now that the money that funded the wedding came from a Free State dairy farm.”
